Collaboration is the essence of teamwork, and good communication is the key to effective team collaboration. Slack has reshaped the way teams communicate not only with each other but also with their systems, be it CI/CD, ticket management, Git or others—there’s an app for everything. So, it’s only natural for Altostra to join in on the fun.
We are excited to announce that Altostra now extends its communication capabilities to Slack. You can add a Slack Workspace integration to your Altostra accounts and add the Altostra Slack app to any channel in which you wish to see notifications—it’s that simple!
Setting it up
First, integrate Altostra with your Slack workspace:
- Go to integrations in your account settings and click Connect on the Slack integration.
- Select the Slack workspace (top right corner).
- Click Allow to approve the app.
Now you can add the Altostra app to any channel to receive notifications:
- Open Slack.
- Go to a channel, for example
/, then in the search box type “Add apps” and select the “Add apps to this channel".
- Search for “Altostra” and click “Add”.
You can repeat this process for other channels in which you wish to receive notifications.
That’s it! You’re all set!
From now on whenever a stack deployment completes on your connected Altostra account you’ll get a notification.
A successful deployment notification looks like this:
A failed deployment notification looks like this (note the included failure reason):
